Space of Grace

This month, I want to focus on the Primary Food area of “home environment.” (For information on Primary Food, see my previous blog post).  Home is the place most people begin and end their days.  Some of us spend the bulk of our time at home.  It’s where we rest, play, work, gather, and grow.  We all need a peaceful place to call “home.” The following are a few tips for improving your home environment:

1)     Get some plants! Not only do they purify the air, but they also make a room more comfortable and can benefit your mental health. If you don’t have a green thumb, there are many hardier plant varieties out there.

2)     Rearrange. Sometimes a change of scenery makes a world of difference.  Rework your furniture, wall hangings, or closet/drawer organization to better serve your goals and desires for your home.

3)     Take the screens and work materials out of the bedroom.  To promote better sleep, remove the blue lights and distractions from your bedroom.  It should be a place that exudes rest!

4)     Practice some hospitality.  Having people over encourages you to be intentional.  It lifts your spirit and helps you to see your space anew.  Oh the joy of welcoming others into your space of Grace!
