Circle of Life: A Personal Assessment of Primary Food

What is Primary Food?

Primary Food refers to the things that provide life and nourishment beyond the plate. Diet and exercise can only go so far without these life-giving “foods.”

While each person fills his or her cup in different ways, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition has created an assessment of 12 main areas of Primary Food, called the “Circle of Life.”

I encourage you to spend a few minutes completing this assessment.  Let it be your guide and starting point for your own healing journey.

Some questions to ask yourself: What areas of my life are nourishing me right now? What areas am I neglecting?  What are some concrete steps I can take to strengthen those areas?

Throughout the coming year, I will be focusing on one area of Primary Food each month.  I will be providing tips, ideas, programs, or suggestions on how to improve that specific area.

I look forward to walking with you through this healing journey!
